About Founder Vicky
Vicky’s worked in tourism since the mid 90’s, and sustainable tourism since mid 00’s, in destinations, marketing and ecommerce.
She’s headed up operations abroad and online for major tour operators like Tui and Virgin Holidays, online travel agents and media, in mass market tourism, ski, tours, charity challenges and voluntourism, NGOs and sustainable tourism accreditation organisations.
She’s been a ski resort manager, a qualified ranger in Africa, charity challenge leader, acclaimed academic for her pioneering published MSc Responsible Tourism Management thesis (distinction) on the online marketing and greenwashing of volunteer tourism and an Ambassador for the #YearOfGreenAction for the UK Department for the Environment (DEFRA). She’s also a trustee for charity SEED Madagascar, part of the development team with the board of the Global Ecotourism Network, helping create the European Ecotourism Network.
Vicky brought together her skills to launch sustainable tourism start-up Earth Changers in 2017.
