Heidi Fisher MBE, invited Vicky to talk sustainable travel on her Make An Impact podcast.

The podcast series explores what people do and why they do it, and uncovers how they create and measure social impact and value to develop help social enterprise using their practical tips.

Vicky was excited to be invited by Heidi, who has a passion for social enterprise, having set up and managed several, charities and businesses over the past fifteen years, recorded the day after winning the Travelmole UK Best Responsible Travel and Tourism website.

In the podcast, we talk about the size and worldwide scope of tourism unrivalled power to deliver impact and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, how tourism supports communities and conservation, so you shouldn’t necessarily feel guilty about flying if you make your trip count so it makes a positive contribution to people and places.

Vicky was even thrilled to be able to bring to Heidi’s attention a new word! “Greenhushing” is when businesses are actually doing great things in terms of sustainability but don’t publicly highlight them, usually for fear of not being good enough.
